Question for / Pregunta para Jeffrey L. Gould

We would like to pose this question to Gould’s text, “To Die in This Way: Nicaraguan Indians and the Myth of Mestizaje 1880-1965” (1998).

Can the constructivist approach (p. 14) be applied to the term “nacion” (p. 36)? In other words, how did circumstances change the idea of “nation” as a collective identity?

 

 

Nos gustaría plantear esta cuestión al texto de Gould, Morir en esta manera: los indios de Nicaragua y el mito del mestizaje 1880-1965(1998).

Puede el enfoque constructivista (p. 14) se aplicará al término “Nación” (p. 36)? En otras palabras, ¿cómo cambian las circunstancias la idea de “nación” como una identidad colectiva?
